I'm a forward-deployed AI engineer and engineering lead. I build LLM systems for places where 'mostly works' is not good enough: regulated real-estate finance, consumer products, aerospace. My job is the last mile — evals, guardrails, integration, and the product work that turns a capable model into something a business can depend on.
I co-founded Tallo, a conversational AI assistant for the rental-housing market: a team of six, idea to production in four months, adopted by 20 property-management companies, automating 95% of customer interactions under fair-housing compliance guardrails. Before and alongside that: leading backend teams in fintech and space-tech.
When production bites me, the scar becomes a post here. That is most of what this site is.
Experience
- Lead the GROWTH pod: hiring, team building, tech-stack selection, and delivery from POC to production scale.
- Drove the team into applied AI after the Roofstock merger — designing and shipping production LLM features with RAG and conversational assistants in a regulated real-estate-finance domain.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data to turn ambiguous, fast-moving requirements into reliable services.
- Built and led a team of 6 (four engineers, a designer, a salesperson) with zero attrition; took the product from idea to production in ~4 months.
- Shipped a multi-channel AI assistant adopted by 20 property-management companies; ~20,000 customer leads processed, peaking at ~1,000/month.
- Automated 95% of customer interactions end-to-end and drove ~65% lead-to-tour conversion.
- Built an internal evaluation framework (~98% assistant accuracy) with compliance-aware fair-housing guardrails for a consumer-facing domain.
- Grew to ~$14K MRR, then made the deliberate choice to pursue AI engineering leadership at a larger scale.
- Built a remote development team from scratch and established delivery practices: TDD, spec-by-example, documentation.
- Led full-cycle product development under the CTO — two MVPs, feedback from SpaceX, D-Orbit, and GK Launch Services, supporting a $1.2M seed raise.
